We're local parents who know the struggle firsthand — outdoor playgrounds are great until it rains, gets too hot, or the nearest restroom is a ten-minute walk. And when we looked for indoor alternatives, we kept hitting walls: high prices, limited hours, no memberships, and spaces that felt more like warehouses than places children actually wanted to be.
We surveyed hundreds of families across Somerset County and the message was the same everywhere: parents were desperate for a safe, welcoming indoor play space close to home. One that felt different — thoughtfully designed, genuinely clean, and affordable enough for regular visits.
That gap became Space Play Academy — Central New Jersey's first space-themed indoor playground, built from the ground up with community input and a deep belief that active play is one of the most important things a child can do.
